The Villard Leader ; Villard, McHenry Co., Dakota ; Saturday, June 9, 1888 ; Vol 3, No. 15, Pg. 4
Died -- On Sunday, June 3d, 1888 of lung fever, at her home near Villard, 
Mattie, wife of Ulrich Thoreson ; aged 23 years. The funeral of Mrs. Thoreson 
took place Wednesday, her remains being depostied in the Norwegian Lutheran 
cemetery of this place.
