N. Torson and family returned from Wisconsin last Monday. Mr. Torson was recalled to Wisconsin last week by a telegram informing of the death of his eldest son, Bennie who was about eight years old. His death was sudden and wholly unexpected. Mr. Torson having left him only a little while before in perfect health. The physician in charge first attributed the death of Bennie to diphtheria, and the family ,who were about to return to Towner, were quarantined. A diagnosis by the physicians, however, discovered no symptons of diphtheria in the case of another child of Mr. Torson, who was also ailing, and the quarantine was removed. It was decided that Bennie died of brain fever. Little Bennie will be remembered here as a bright, intelligent, and unusually sweet tempered child, who was a favorite with his teachers and playmates. "There is no flock, however well attended, but one dead lamb is there," but the gap in the family circle occasioned by his death is a sad blow to the family, to whom th esympathy of this community is extended.
