Indiana Dec. 16, 1855. After a painful sickness of inflamation of the bowels was called home May 8 1902, aged 46 years 4 months 22 days. He was married April 5, 1883, to Adele Grace Cattron. To them was born nine children five boys and four girls. Two have gone on to the better world. Hallie the first born and an infant Ira, were buds born on earth to bloom in Heaven. Those remaining to bear the loss are Edith, Milliken, Lawrence, Johnnie, Ruby, Oral and Austine and his wife and mother, one sister and one brother, other relatives and a host of friends. Eli Williams stood well in the esteem and love of his friends. He had lived on the same farm where he was born and raised all his life with the exception of 1 year in Iowa and four years in Kansas. May 29, 1901, he started to go to Lacombe, Alberta Canada, to make a home, but stopped here a few days and as he could get government land and liked this country, he decided to stay. His untimely death will be sadly mourned outside of his sorrowful family. He has labored hard all his life but met with many misfortunes. His labors are ended and his last great battle won. His soul rests in peace with God for when he could not speak he nodded his head that we should all try to meet in Heaven. Then we can only say farewell dear husband, father, friend, until we meet in that blest land where thou has gone to dwell lifes, burdens all laid down, its troubles, cares and woes; freed from weary pain and sickness for God has called thee home. Thy will be done, tis he that knowest best. A few more years at the most our trials will all be O'er and then we will all meet again in Heaven to say good bye no more."
