Jacob Dockter Sr., McIntosh County, North Dakota Jacob Dockter Sr. was born in Neudorf, South Russia in 1860. He came to America in 1886 and to McIntosh County in 1889. He married Margaretha Krein from which union seven children were born. Those living are James, Gottlieb, Eva Stroh and Christian Dockter. Magdalena Schwindt and Martha Lehr are children of a second marriage. Mr. Dockter was active in civic affairs, being at different times a member of the school board, and he was also County Commissioner. He died in 19 34 leaving 72 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Another prominent Dockter in the Venturia community was Gottlieb Dockter, who is still living in Venturia at this writing.
