F. Gerard and Basil Clement BEAUCHAMP, PETER Beaver hunter, trader and Arikara interpreter at Ft. Berthold for the American Fur Company. He was at Ft. Berthold in 1848, and died there about 1870. By F. F. Gerard. He came to the upper Missouri country before 1840, and stayed for many years at the Arikara village near Ft. Clark, trapping beaver and hunting buffalo. By Basil Clement.
