Broberg. He was born in Aneta on November 6, 1898. Private Broberg entered the service on March 29, 1918 and was ordered to Camp Dodge, Iowa, where he received intensive training and drill for a short time. He was transferred to Co. H, 140th Regiment, 35th Division of the Infantry and arrived in France in August 1918. Broberg was rushed to the front where he took part in the bloody battles of the Argonne Forest, until he was killed in action on September 30, 1918. Private Broberg was a quiet and unassuming young man who was reared and educated in Aneta where he lived until he entered the service.
