He was born on February 9, 1889 in Skien, Norway. Private Christianson entered the service on June 23, 1918 at Dupree, S. Dak., and was ordered to Camp Funston, Kansas for training. A complete and detailed record of Christianson’s service is not available. He died in October 1918. Christianson spent most of his life in Nelson County, working in the vicinity of Pekin. The Morken-Christianson Post of the American Legion, at Pekin, is named in honor of the dead hero.
