MISS EDNA MARIA SUNDQUIST was born in Ora Township, Nelson County. She is the
daughter of John and Caroline Sundquist. Miss Sundquist entered the service of her
country on Nov. 18, 1918. Six months were spent in active work at Camp Dodge, Iowa,
and during this time Miss Sundquist volunteered for foreign service. She was
prepared to go overseas but was never called. In the spring of 1919 she was mustered
out of the service.
