INSTRUCTIONS
The naming convention for the transcription files for the townships uses  
the first four letters of the township name, a dash, followed by the
enumeration number. Thus Minnewauken would be named minn-121. The townships
were enumerated in the order given below.

The naming of the scan files uses the enumeration district, dash and
the sheet number followed by either A or B for 1-50 or 51-100 respectively.
Thus, for sheet 01A, Enumeration District 121 the file name would be 121-01a.

Note that the transcription files point to the enumeration district numbers.
So, just glancing at Minnewaken you know immediately that it was transcribed
from enumeration district 121. Using these conventions any name on the 
transcription index can quickly be found on a scan by noting the line number,
sheet number and suffix.

The index of scans groups the scans by enumeration District making lookups
very convenient.

      numbers. These were converted to present day township names. Hereto
      is a list of those townships. Township 158/64 was identified also as
      Pleasant.
