Frank Scheiber who for several years past has occupied the position of head 
clerk in E. J. Chamberlin's general store at Devils Lake, was instantly killed 
last Monday by the accidental discharge of his hammerless gun. He had just 
taken a seat in the hunting wagon, when his gun slipped striking the trigger 
against some article the load entering into his body at the armpit. Mr. 
Scheiber who had quite a reputation as a hunter, was known always to exercise 
great care in the handling of fire arms. He leaves a wife and one daughter, 
both of whom are unconsolable. This fatal accident calls to the minds of many 
the one that overtook B. Everett Cole, whose death, which occured but little 
over a year ago, was occasioned by a similar accident.
