The southern half was consolidated in 1903, but a $5,000.00 bond issue failed for the new building. The next bond issue for $3,500.00 passed, so the new school was constructed in 1904. In 1907 the north half of the district passed a $4,000.00 bond issue and added to the school. This school, with the addition of a gymnasium in 1951, served the community for nearly 60 years. After redistricting with Lakota School District in 1962, a new $80,000.00 school building was part of a project approved by the voters of Lakota School District. The present school building is a three room classroom structure for grades one through six, adjacent to the existing gymnasium. Grades seven through twelve are transported to Lakota for classes. At the present time, there are 35 students with two teachers, Mrs. Phyllis Beck and Mrs. Edith McMorran. The principal is Mr. Niel Dardis and Mrs. Dagny Severtson serves as cook and custodian.
