Mrs. Baseflug suffered a heart attack early Saturday morning and died shortly afterwards. She had been in poor health for several years. Funeral rites were conducted at the Assumption Abbey at Richardton with Father Julius officiating. Burial was made in the St. Mary's cemetery at Richardton. Mrs. Baseflug was born in Russia, December 26, 1868. She was married to M. J. Baseflug at Landau, South Russia, and came to the United States in 1903 and has made her home in this state since that time, most of which was spent at Richardton. Her husband preceded her in death three years ago. Surviving children include Math Baseflug, Richardton; Peter J. Baseflug of Dickinson; Joe Baseflug of Billings, Mont.; and Miss Rosemary Baseflug of Dickinson. Other survivors include seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. The Mischel funeral home had charge of arrangements. The Dickinson ND Press 10 Jun 1952 Additional Comments: I am posting several messages with obituaries extracted from microfilm, published in the Dickinson Press 1949-1953. Much of the microfilm is either faded/dark/out of focus, etc. You will find occasional instances of missing data, obvious errors, etc. In a few cases I made corrections with data I knew to be factual, but mostly I transcribed as printed and/or legible. I have additional data on many of these folks and welcome any inquiries at this address: eusteel@cox.net All of these obituaries will be sent to GRHS for addition to their records. Anyone wishing to share these obits with others may do so without my further permission. I am primarily searching for information on Reisenauer, Olheiser and Paul families.
