   Miss Ottilia Hecker, age 64, died at the St. Joseph's hospital on Sunday, May
27. She had been ill for six months. Funeral services will be conducted at the
St. Joseph's church on Tuesday, May 29, at ten o'clock, with Msgr. Aberle
officiating. Interment will be in the St. Joseph's cemetery. Miss Hecker had
resided with her sister, Mrs. Salome Geiger for the past 25 years. She had been
blind all her life.

   She was born in Russia, February 2, 1887. She came to the United States in
1891. Those who survive here are Mike and Joe of Belfield; Mrs. Joe Vogel,
Mandan; Mrs. Christ Decker, Dickinson; Mrs. Louis Rice, Dickinson; Mrs. Salome
Geiger, New England; Mrs. Rose Geiger, Yakima; Washington; Mrs. Mark Jaeger,
Langley, Washington; Mrs. Adam Reichert, Halliday; and Mrs. Ambrose Stroh,
Killdeer. The Mischel funeral home has charge of the arrangements.

I am posting several messages with obituaries extracted from microfilm,
published in the Dickinson Press 1949-1953.

Much of the microfilm is either faded/dark/out of focus, etc. You will find
occasional instances of missing data, obvious errors, etc. In a few cases I made
corrections with data I knew to be factual, but mostly I transcribed as printed
and/or legible.
