Millard Fillmore Goughnour was born at Mineral
Point, Penn., April 12th. 1851. When twelve
years of age he went to Waterloo, Iowa, where
he remained until 1882 when he moved west of 
Portland, N. Dakota taking up a tree claim. Later moved to the farm northwest 
of Portland, N. Dak.,  where he lived until the time of his 
death which occurred Thursday July 24th. 1930. 
Age 79 yrs. 3 mos. 12 days. He was married to
Mary Pauline Johnsrud who preceded him in
death one and one half years ago. To this
union there were four daughters and two sons.
One daughter Ada having passed away in 1911.
Those remaining bereaved of the loss are Christ
of Alberta, Canada, Frieda Delhart, Pezas,
Selma, Valley City; William and Hilda of
portland.
