DANIEL FREUND Woman Lives But a Short time After Car Went Into Ditch When Steering Gear Broke. In an automobile accident which occurred near Harvey October 4, Mrs. Daniel Freund of Bowdon was killed and Mr. Freund suffered a fracture of one on his legs, reports the Guardian. They were riding with Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Wagner of Manfred in a Studebaker car and it is reported that the accident was caused by some part of the steering gear breaking, the car going into the ditch and turning over several times. Mr. and Mrs. Wagner both escaped injury. Mrs. Freund was taken to the hospital in Harvey where she lived but a short time. Mr. Freund was also taken to the hospital in Harvey where he is being cared for. Mrs. Freund's remains were brought to Bowdon Saturday for burial and the funeral was held Sunday in the Adventist church on Sunday. Additional Comments: Eva Brikman was married to Friedrich Ring when they arrived in Grant County, North Dakota May 1910. Eva's celebrated birthday was 28 Sep 1870. Eva is survived by her children Christof, Gustav, Helena, and Karl.
