Judge W. H. Holmes of Neligh died last week
after an illness of five months. The malady
was heart trouble and dropsy. The judge was
sitting up in bed eating a lunch when death
came. He was a lawyer, practicing at the bar
up0 to the time of his sickness. In early
times he was prominent in Iowa politics.
