Our informant says that Mr. W. was riding alone in his wagon, when he was attacked by two Indians, one of whom he immediately knocked down with his whip-handle. The second Indian drew a rifle upon Mr. W. and was in the act of firing, when he seized the gun, and discharged the contents into the body of the Indian, causing instant death. Upon examination of the first Indian, he was found to be mortally wounded, and in a short time died. Much complaint is made in that vicinity of the theiving propensities of the Indians and a determination is expressed among the whites to get rid of them, if necessary, by forcible means.--Omaha Times.
