Visitation was Oct. 28 at Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington. A vigil service was held later that night at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Bow Valley, Mass of Christian Burial was Oct. 29 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Bow Valley, with Rev. Mark Tomasiewicz officiating. Burial was at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Bow Valley. Pallbearers were Raymond Lenzen, Sally Hofmaier, Vernon Arens, Bill Arens, Ken Guenther and Larry Guenther. Tex was born July 23, 1929, to Louis Casper and Rosa Marie (Sudbeck) Arens in Bow Valley. He grew up and lived in the Bow Valley area all of his life where he farmed and was a truck driver. He has been a resident of Park View Haven Nursing Home since January 1994. He was a member of Sts. Peter and, Paul Catholic Church, Bow Valley and the Catholic Order of Foresters. Survivors include two sisters, Mary Ann Lenzen, Pierce; and Angeline Guenther, Yankton, S.D.; four brothers, Rudolph F. Arens, Hartington; Ralph Arens, Hartington; Ben Arens, Yankton, S.D.; and Louis Arens, Bow Valley; and many nieces and nephews.
