Becker HARTINGTON- Sarah M. Becker, 99, died Feb. 24, 2000, at the West Point Living Center, West Point. Visitation was at Holy Trinity Catholic, Hartington, under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington. Mass of Christian Burial was Feb. 26 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Hartington, with Rev. William Sanderson and Rev. Andrew Meister officiating. Burial was in St. Michael's Cemetery, Hartington. Pallbearers were Kenneth Becker, Roger Becker, Robert Dietsch, Daniel Dietsch, Maurice Wuebben and Norman Wuebben. Sarah was born June 8, 1900, to Peter and Elizabeth (Lammers) Becker in Fordyce. She lived in the Fordyce area until she became a housekeeper for Dr. Hohf in Yankton, S.D., for several years. In 1953, she became the housekeeper for Fr. Andrew Meister until 1981. She has been a resident of the West Point Living Center since 1991. Survivors include a sister, Elizabeth Horning, Lodi, Calif.; a half- sister, Mrs. Frank (Gertrude) Dietsch, Fordyce; and a step-brother, Robert Kleber, Sioux City, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Mary Noecker, Norad Tigges and Evelyn Wuebben; and three brothers, Edmund Becker, Albin Becker and William Becker.
