Visitation was May 8 at the Wintz Funeral Home, Crofton. A vigil service was held later that evening at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Crofton. Mass of Christian Burial was May 9 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Crofton, with Rev. Bob English officiating. Burial was in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Crofton, with military services conducted by the Crofton American Legion Post # 128. Pallbearers were Brock Foxhoven, Justin Foxhoven, Steve Guenther, Brian Paulsen, Jim Guenther, Larry Boecker, Loren Boecker and Gary Schieffer. Bill was born Feb. 17, 1938, to Frank and Catherine (Vering) Boecker in Crofton. He married Marlene Paulsen Sept. 20, 1960, in Yankton, S.D. He grew up and lived in Crofton all of his life. He was a 1956 graduate of Crofton Public High School. He served in the army. He returned to Crofton and has worked for Hesse's Inc. in Crofton for the past 40 years, most of that time as a salesman. He was a member of the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and the Crofton American Legion Post #128. Survivors include his wife, Marlene, Crofton; four children and spouses, Brenda and Galen Foxhoven, Crofton; Brett and Julie Boecker, Crofton; Wanda and Casey Knake, Norfolk; Tracey and Ron McLain, Lincoln: 13 grandchildren; four sisters, Elizabeth and Reynold Hoebelheinrich, Menominee; Hedwig Guenther, Reeseville, Wis.; Elfreda Kollars, Brainard, Minn.; Rose and Marvin Bruns, Beaver Dam, Wis.; a brother, Herb and wife, Willie, Boecker, Bloomfield.
