He died Thursday, August 11 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Yankton. Father Cyril Werner officiated the 9:30 a.m. mass. Burial was in St. Michael's Cemetery. The Wintz funeral Home handled the arrangements. Born January 21, 1896, he was the son of the late Peter and Catherine (Suing) Dreesen. He married Lucy Dresden, October 10, 1922 in Hartington. His wife died May 16, 1976. He was a lifetime farmer of the Cedar County area. Survivors include 2 daughters, Mrs. Bennett (Evelyn) Lowe, Yankton, and Mrs. Francis (Margaret) Lammers, Hartington; 2 sons, Francis, Hartington and Kenneth, So. Yankton, Nebr.; 18 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Joseph and Jeffrey Dreesen, Dean and Daniel Lammers, Michael and James Lowe. August 1977 Cedar County News
