DEROY GREGG Mrs. DeRoy Gregg, 51, of Ponca died Wednesday, June 25, 1980, in a nursing home at Ponca of a long illness. Services were at 10:00 am Saturday, June 28th, in the Mohr Funeral Home at Ponca. The Rev. Nile Bush officiated. Burial was in Silver Ridge Cemetery near Ponca. Pallbearers were John Rush, Robert Anderson, Donald Wendte, Craig Nelson, Dale Lund and Bob Burcham. Mrs. Gregg, the former Della Irene Lich, was born March 23, 1929 at Madison, Neb. She was married July 10, 1947 at Hartington. They moved to a farm near Ponca in 1949. She was active in the Cornhuskers 4-H for 15 years, and was secretary of the Silver Creek 19 school board. Survivors include the widower, three daughters, Mrs. Jim Meyer, of Fort Calhoun, Mrs. Louis Benscoter of Newcastle and Miss Lori at home. Three brothers Chester of Pittsburgh, Calif., Wayne of Henry, Ill, and Alvin of Orleans, Ind.; one sister Mrs. Wayne (Bealuh) Gregg of Commerce City, Colo., and two grandchildren.
