THOMAS, Editor, YANKTON PRESS & DAKOTAN ====================================================================== YANKTON PRESS & DAKOTAN George Gregg Seattle Wash - George Lawrence Gregg, 85, formerly of the area, died July 15, 1997 at Seattle after a brief illness. Funeral services were held July 19, at Yarington Funeral Chapel in Seattle. He was born Aug. 6, 1911, at St. Helena, NE to Samuel and Mary (Mollet Brown) Gregg. He attended grade school in St. Helena. The family then moved to Yankton, where he graduated from yankton High school in 1931. He moved to Seattle after high school and served several years in the army. He was stationed in the Aleutian Islands. He married Beatrice Nelson Sept. 2, 1942. He owned and operated a roofing service in Seattle until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, two sons; George Jr., Seattle and Robert, Moorpark, Calif., five grandchildren and one brother, John, Yankton.
