A memorial service was held at the family home in Algona, Wash. July 27. Private family services were held at the interment at Wynot city Cemetery August 12. Merle was born to Jess and Myrtle Gray Gregg June 30, 1937 at Wynot. He attended Wynot schools. Mr. Gregg was inducted into the army on April 13, 1955, during the Korean conflict. He was a private stationed at Ft. Lewis, Wash. doing wire maintenance. He lived in South County, Wash. for 40 years. He was a sheet metal worker before going on medical retirement in 1995. He is survived by his wife Lowell Gregg, Algona, Wash., two sons, Michael of Tacoma, and Merle of Federal Way, Wa., Michele Holmes, Tacoma, Wash., three step-sons, Jimm Dodd of Centrella, Wash, David Dodd of Federal Way, and Dan Lievers Graham, Wash., three step-daughters, Jackie Palmer, Bellingham, WA., Lee Smith, Federal Way, and Lauri Jones of Renton, Wash., 11 grandchildren, two brothers, DeRoy of Ponca and Jesse Jr. of Seattle, four sisters, Mrs. Sylvia Nelson of Maskell, Mrs. Darlene Ritter of Lincoln, Mrs. June Foley of Omaha and Mrs. Myrtle Sieck of Columbus, and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Wayne, Willard, Eldon and Rex and two infant brothers.
