Visitation was Aug. 29 at the Wintz Funeral Home, Crofton. A vigil service held later that evening at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Crofton. Mass of Christian Burial was at St. Rose Catholic Church with Rev. Bob English officiating. Burial was in St. Rose of Lima cemetery, Crofton. Pallbearers were Kevin Frey, Chris Timmerman, Eric Wynia, Derek O'Grady, Rick Kollars and Clint Kollars. Karla was born Aug. 15, 1980, to Edward and Deborah Ann (Arens) Halle in Yankton, S.D. She grew up in Crofton and graduated from Crofton High School in 1999 where she participated in volleyball and mixed chorus. She worked at Godfather's Pizza in Yankton where she was a shift manager. Survivors include her mother, Deb Halle, Lenoir City, Tenn.; her father, Ed Halle, Crofton; two sisters, Kristi Halle, Crofton; Kandra Halle, Crofton; a brother, Kevin Halle, Crofton; her maternal grandfather and wife, Ray and Norma Arens, Bloomfield, and her fiance, John Green, Bloomfield. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Edward and Linda Halle Sr., maternal grandmother, Frances Arens; first cousin, Jeff Leuhrs; and uncle, Joe Clarbour.
