Visitation will be Jan. 20 from 4-8 p.m. at the Brockhaus-Scott Funeral Home, Services will be Jan. 21 at Christ Memorial United Methodist Church, Bloomfleld. Burial will be at the Bloomfield Cemetery, Bloomfield. Doyle Woran Jones, son of Walter and Pearl (Black) Jones, was born Nov. 4, 1922, at Bloomfield. He was baptized at Hurstafford Methodist Church. He attended rural schools east of Bloomfield, where his parents farmed. He married Alda McFarland Nov. 28, 1942, at Madison. The couple farmed in Cedar and Knox counties until 1974 when they moved to Bloomfield and Doyle worked for the A.S.C.S. and Nebraska Game and Parks Department. He retired due to ill health, and in April 1997 moved to Neligh, where he lived until the time of his death. Survivors include his wife, Alda; sons and daughter-in-law, Carrol and Cheryl Jones, Eugene, Ore., and Kelly Jones, Lincoln; daughters and sons- in-law, Karna and Ron Nelson, Neligh, and JaVae Ermels, Norfolk; 11 grandchildren and two great-granddaughters; a brother, Willis, McCook; and two sisters, Margaret McFarland, Hartington, and Mary Joachimsen, Bloomfield.
