Visitation was Jan. 2 at Kostel Funeral Home, Yankton, S.D. A Prayer service was held later that evening at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Menominee Mass of Christian burial was Jan. 4, 2000, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Menominee. Burial was held in the St. Boniface Cemetery, Menominee. Pallbearers were Greg Peitz, Clint Zavadil, Travis Woockman, Keith Donner, Bob Drotzman, and Chris Sandvig. Jayson was born Aug. 3, 1983, to Gerard and Joyce (Ruzicka) Kleinschmit, in Yankton, S.D. He grew up in the Crofton area, attending Crofton Public Elementary School and was currently a sophomore at Crofton High School, Crofton. He was a member of F.F.A., 700 lb. weight lifting club, CCD of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Menominee; Crofton Football Team, and Crofton Mixed Chorus. He loved trucking and working with his father at the hay business. Jayson is survived by his mother, Joyce, Crofton; two sisters, Bethany, at home and Tanya, Wayne State College, Wayne; maternal grandfather, Marvin Ruzicka, Crofton; paternal great-grandmother, Crestina Zimmerman, St. Helena.
