Klug (Photo) ST. HELENA - Edward C. Klug, 70, died Jan. 18, 1999, at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital, Yankton, S.D. Visitation was Jan. 20 at the Wintz Funeral Home. A vigil service was held later that evening at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Helena. Funeral services were Jan. 21 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Mark Tomasiewicz officating. Burial was in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, St. Helena. Pallbearers were Ronald Steinkamp, Raymond Moser, Michael Moser, Steve Klug, Loren Klug and Dean Sternhagen. Ed was born August 21, 1928 to Stephen and Rosina (Becker) Klug in St. Helena. He married Faye Moser in Randolph June 25, 1957. He grew up in the St. Helena area and farmed in the Fordyce area until 1964 when they moved to Breda, Iowa. He returned to St. Helena in 1974 and worked for the Neu Cheese Co., Hartington, and then for Cimpl Packing Plant, Yankton , S.D., until he retired. Ed was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Helena, and the St. Helena Social Club. Survivors include his wife, Faye, St. Helena; four children, Pam Neuhalfen and Mike Spangler, Oswego, Ill.; Janet and Jody Albrecht, St. Helena; Mary Jean and Keith Schmidt, Wynot; Jerry and Michelle Klug, Yankton, S.D.; a daughter-in-law, Tena Graber, Myrtle Beach, S.C.; eight grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Francis (Irene) Wortmann, Hartington; Mrs. Edwin (Anna Mary) Filips, Spencer; Mrs. Allen (Mildred) Sternhagen, Tabor S.D.; three brothers, Victor Klug, Crofton; Roman Klug, Niobrara; Andrew Klug, St. Helena. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Marcus; a granddaughter, Tiffany Rose Schmidt; and three brothers.
