Kock FREMONT-Ernest A. Kock, 92, died August 13, 1998, in his apartment at the Gifford Tower, Fremont. Services were August 15 at the First Lutheran Church, Fremont, with Rev. Norman Freund officiating. Burial was in the Hartington Cemetery. Ernest was born July 28, 1906, on the family farm near Pender. His Parents were Henry and Christina (Hintz) Kock. Ernest grew up near Pender. He married Oneta Lorentzen, Jan. 11, 1938, in Hartington. They lived in Hartington, where Ernest was a building contractor and also farmed. In 1958, the Kocks moved to Fremont, and Ernest worked in construction until his retirement. He had been an avid bowler for years, and was active with the Pathfinders Barbershop singers. Ernest was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Fremont. Survivors include his wife, Oneta; one daughter, Muriel and her husband, Bernard Heese, Fremont; one son, Clark and his wife, Evelyn Koch, Fremont; and one grandson. Brian Koch.
