She had been ill four months. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Lutheran church in Coleridge. Rev. Ludwig Scholl officiated. Burial was in Lawn Ridge cemetery. Pallbearers were Ben Dirks, Clarence Shope, Wendell Haahr, Axel Hansen, Elmer Christensen and Raymond Barnes. Mrs. Konken is survived by her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Eric Roberts of Wichita, Kan., and Mrs. Warren Loftis of Hartingon; two sons, Arnold of Laurel and Kenneth of Falmouth, Mass.; two sisters, Mrs. Ira Hodgens of Hobart, Okla., and Mrs. Jim Real of Fresno, Calif.; two brothers, Herman Harms of Arizona and Adolph Harms of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and eight grandchildren. Bertha Harms, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Harms, was born December 26, 1898, at Laurel. She moved to Oklahoma when she was 13 years old and to South Dakota in 1921, returning to Nebraska in 1922. She was married October 16, 1924, at Le Mars, Ia., to George Konken. They farmed about 4 miles southeast of Hartington. SEPTEMBER 1958 Cedar County News
