Kruse, 92, died Jan. 29, 1999, at Park View Haven Nursing Home, Coleridge. Services were held Feb. 1, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Bow Valley, with Rev. Jay Kruse officiating. Pallbearers were Mike Loecker, Brad Loecker, Terry Mackeprang, Lonnie Mackeprang, Mark Mackeprang, Tim Kruse, Chad Stevens, and Brian Stevens. Honorary pallbearers were Cheryl Sommer, Cindy Huether, Lori Carter, Staci Brown, LeeAnn Mackeprang, Kristi Steffen, Tanya Hacecky, Laurie Kruse and Lynn Kruse. Raymond was born Aug. 9, 1906, to Henry John and Elizabeth (Heger) Kruse in Bow Valley. He grew up and lived in the Bow Valley area all of his life where he farmed. He married Leona Albrecht April 3, 1940, in Menominee. He was a resident of Park View Haven Nursing Home, Coleridge, since July, 1998. He was a member of Sts' Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Bow Valley. Survivors include his wife, Leona, Hartington; five children and their spouses, Marilyn and Vernon Loecker, Yankton, S.D.; Mardell and Bob Mackeprang, Bloomfield; Melvin and Jane Kruse, Bow Valley; Carol and Bill Stevens, Fordyce; and Kevin Kruse, Hartington; 17 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three sisters, Anna Becker, St. Helena; Mrs. Rudolph (Ella) Arens, Fordyce; and Alma Lammers, Yankton, S.D. He was preceeded in death by one grandson, Pat Kruse; two brothers, Albert and Marvin Kruse; and one sister, Hildegard Wieseler.
