PETER AND PAUL Louis Marx, 82, Bow Valley pioneer, died at his home Wednesday morning after a serious illness of three weeks. He had been in poor health and confined to a wheelchair for five years. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning at 9:30 from SS Peter and Paul church in Bow Valley with Rev. A.S. Kluthe officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Wintz Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Louis, son of Werner and Agnes Lenzen Marx was born November 3, 1869, at Bow Valley. He was married to Christine Hochstein and she preceded him in death January 28, 1951. Mr. Marx was engaged in farming in his home community all of his active life. He served on the district school board for 30 years and was a charter member of the Scheutzenverien. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Josephine) Forester of Hartington, Mrs. Paule (Rose) Schurman of Wynot, Mrs. Anton Wiebelhause of Norfolk, and Martha at home; and one son, Wendell, also at home. His three brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.
