Mauch, 87, Menominee, died Dec. 27, 1999 at Avera Sacred Heart Hospital, Yankton, S.D Visitation was Dec. 29 at Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington, with a vigil service held later that evening at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Menominee. Mass of Christian Burial was held Dec. 30 at St. Boniface, Catholic Church with Rev. Tim Lange officiating. Burial was held in the St. Boniface Cemetery, Menominee. Pallbearers were Dave Wubben, Tom Uhing, Mark Mauch, Tim Bonertz, Jason Mauch, Jeff Eckhardt and Lawrence Mauch. Honorary pallbearers were Duane Mauch, Michael Uhing, Darrell Wubben, Donald Wubben, Mike Mauch, Joe Bonertz, James Mauch and Jim Eckhardt. Regina was born June 14, 1912, to Joseph and Anna (Burbach) Kathol in Bow Valley. She married Edward P. Mauch Nov. 19, 1934, in Bow Valley. He died July 22, 1989. She grew up in the Bow Valley area and after her marriage they lived and farmed in the Menominee area until 1967. She then worked at the Human Service Center in Yankton for seven years. She was a member of the St. Boniface Catholic Church, Menominee, the Ladies Guild and the Christian Mothers. Survivors include eight children and spouses, Cyril and Laverta Mauch, Crofton; Cleopha and Bill Uhing, Yankton, S.D.; Coletta and Cyril Wubben, Fordyce; Hubert and Henrietta Mauch, Menominee; Mary Ann and Allen Bonertz, Menominee, Ruth and Curt Johnson, Yankton, S.D.; Daniel and Louise Mauch, Menominee; and Rose Larson, Mitchell, S.D.; 42 grandchildren; 83 great- grandchildren; two brothers, Ivo Kathol, Hartington; and Clarence Kathol, Hartington; and two sisters, Gertrude Hochstein, Hartington; and Marie Janssen, Ackley, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three grandchildren, Bill Uhing Jr., Timothy and Joseph Uhing; two great-grandchildren, Austin Wubben and John Van Driel; two brothers, Hugo and Otto Kathol; and one sister, Theresa Hochstein.
