Mr. McColligan came to Wynot with the beginning of the town building, now occupied by the Jones Tavern, and operated a saloon here until prohibition. He continued to reside here a few years longer, then moved to a farm near Newcastle where he has resided since. He was born in Pennsylvania December 25, 1870. Surviving are three sisters and one brother.
