Milander, 81, Coleridge, died Oct. 20, 1998, at her residence. Funeral services were Oct. 23 at Pilgrim Congregational U.C.C., Coleridge, with Rev. Henry Vieth officiating. Burial was at the Randolph City Cemetery, Randolph. Pallbearers were Kevin Andersen, Jeff Thies, Steve Thies, Dennis Morland, David Pedersen, Dean Milander, Tom Shalon and Rich Hejsek. Honorary pallbearers were Victoria Hetrick, Lori Shalaon, Jolene Hejsek, Karen Milander, Brenda Milander, Penny Pedersen, Deb Thies, Patricia Morland, Sandy Thies and Amanda Milander. Violet was born March 26, 1917, to Victor and Mary Ann (Greeno) Landberg in Randolph. She married Clifford C. Milander, June 30, 1935, in Laurel. He died Sept. 9, 1992. Violet graduated from Randolph High School in 1934. She and her husband moved to a farm east of Randolph in 1936 and in 1944, they moved to a farm one mile north of Coleridge. They moved into Coleridge in 1987. She was a member of the Pilgrimage Congregational U. C. C., Coleridge; the Ladies Circle, Busy Homemakers' Club and the Birthday Club. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Survivors include one son and his wife, Wendell and Lois Milander, Hartington; one daughter and her husband, Mary Ann and Kevin Andersen, Norfolk; ten grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She was preceeded in death by her parents; husband; a son and daughter-in-law, William and Florene Milander; and one brother, Gleason Landberg.
