Nelson, formerly of Coleridge, died Oct. 31, 1998 at Florence Heights Nursing Home, Omaha. Services are at 2:oo p.m., Nov. 4, at Immanuel Lutheren Church, Coleridge, with Rev. Norman Sulacia officiating. Burial is at Coleridge City Cemetery. Pallbearers are James Lott, Jeffery Lewis, Michael Lewis, Dean Traudt, Gregory Raines, and Shane Chaney. Violet was born Nov. 8, 1904, to Guy Russell and Zoe May (Zwetland) Orr in St. James. She married Albin Melbin Nelson Feb. 3, 1923, in Ponca. Albin died June 5, 1986. Violet lived in the Obert, Hartington, Dixon, and South Sioux City areas until moving into Coleridge in 1971. She worked at the Hartington Bakery from 1952-1960. Violet moved to Omaha in 1988. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, Coleridge, and Imannuel Lutheran Church Women. Survivors include one daughter, Dixie Lott, Omaha; two granddaughters and their husbands, Margaret and Gregory Rains, Mound, Minn.; and Susan and Dean Traudt, Omaha; three grandsons, Nick Lott, Bloomington, Minn.; James Lott, Omaha; and Richard Lott, Hastings; nine great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jessie Ehle, Bellflower, Calif.; and Mrs. Clifford (Georgia) Kleinberg, South Sioux City; and one brother, Ray Orr, Bellflower, Calif. She is preceeded in death by her parents, husband, annd one grandson, Joe Lott. Four sisters, Eda Kleinberg, Gladys Neilsen, Deda Crandall and Opal Moore; and one brother, Burch Orr.
