WAYNE - Lillian Nuss, 91, Wayne, died Jan. 30, 1999, at Wayne Care 
Center. 

Services will be Feb. 3, 10 a.m., at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Wayne, 
with Rev. James F. McClusky officiating.

Burial will be held at Greenwood Cemetery, Wayne.

Pallbearers will be David Ley, Russ Thies, Darrell Flielberth, Bob 
Carhart, Doug Sturm, Lee Carl, Dan Shinkle and Dan Carl.

Lillian Genevieve Nuss, daughter of Wilton and Minnie (Frey) Hayne, was 
born Jan. 8, 1908, at Page. She graduated from Page High School in 1925 
and attended Wayne State College. She taught rural school in Pierce 
County for one year. Lillian married Carl Nuss Jan. 10, 1928, at St. 
Cecelia Cathedral, Omaha. The couple made their home in Wayne where they 
owned and operated the Ben Franklin Store from 1933 until 1993.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Jean and Donna Nuss, 
Donna Nuss, Wayne, and Joe Nuss, Bodega Bay, Calif.; one daughter and 
son-in-law, Joan and Donald Carl, Hartington; thirteen grandchildren;
several great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; nieces and 
nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl in 1985; one 
grandchild, and two sisters.
