Private funeral services are Thursday in the Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington, NE with the Rev. Harley Wakeley officiating. Burial is in the Wynot City Cemetery. Pallbearers are Steve Bevelhymer, Brad Sorenson, Jim Bevelhymer, Robert Bobier, Paul Koch and Eric Bevelhymer. Public Visitation is 1 - 9 pm today (Wednesday) at the Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington. He was born Feb. 9, 1908 at Wynot, NE to Gilbert A and Katie Smith Snowe. He attended school through the eighth grade and married Lizzie Mae Newton January 21, 1931 at Hartington. She died November 7, 1996. He lived and farmed in the Wynot and Newcastle NE areas most of his life, except for two years of homesteading in Oelrichs, SD. He farmed from 1932 - 62 and worked for Cedar Co. road maintenance department from 1964- 68. He was a trustee of the Wynot Cemetery and caretaker of the cemetery from 1975 - 1995. He was a former member of the Wynot Methodist Church and a member of the Faith Lutheran Church, Maskell, NE. He is survived by four daughters, Helen Bevelhymer, Ponca, NE., Mrs. Bill (Dolores) Sorenson, Newcastle, Joanne and Sally Snowe both of Wynot. Five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
