Visitation was Sunday, November 10, 1996 at the Wintz Funeral Home. A private funeral service was held at the Wintz Funeral Home Hartington, with Rev. Harley Wakeley officiating. Burial was in the Wynot City Cemetery, Wynot. Pallbearers were Steve Bevelhymer, Brad Sorenson, Jim Bevelhymer, Robert Bobier, Paul Koch and Eric Bevelhymer. Honorary pallbearers were Haley Wohlman, Nathan Koch, Michael Sorenson, Sara Sorenson, Sheila Sorenson, Christofer Bevelhymer, Kristy, Melissa and Luke McGill. Lizzie was born Jan. 22, 1912 to Robert I. and Kate (Lyons) Newton in Martinsburg. On January 21, 1931 she married Fred P. Snowe in Hartington. She has lived in Wynot area most of her life. She belonged to the Faith Lutheran Church in Maskell, the WELCA, and the Country Club in Wynot. Survivors include her husband, four daughters: Elen Bevelhymer, Ponca, NE., Mrs. Bill (Dolores) Sorenson, Newcastle, Joanne and Sally Snowe both of Wynot. Five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Three sisters, Agnes Hangman, Napa, CA, Mrs. Elwin (Bessie) Nelson, Ina Hangman, Wynot, a brother and his wife, Vern and Madeline Newton, Napa, CA.
