SPANGENBERG DIES AT HOME HERE; RITES HELD MONDAY Mrs. Floyd Spangenberg, 67 died at her home here Friday morning. She had been ill 13 months. Funeral services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church here Monday afternoon. Rev. O L Leverson officiated. Mrs. Spangenberg is survived by her husband, one sister, Mrs. william McDermott, Omaha; and one brother Harold Varvais, South Sioux City. Burial was in Hartington cemetery under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Olaf Klanderud, Harold Martindale, Claude Israelson, Ed Walter, William Dresden and H.H. Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers were Mrs. Emma Johnson, Mrs. Alice Fornash, Mrs. Rose Dresden, Mrs. Mabel Dendinger, Mrs. Marth Burbach, and Mrs. Laura Bruening. Luella Pearl Varvais, was born December 1, 1888 at Jackson, the daughter of Charles and Lucy Varvais. She moved to Hartington in 1907 from Emerson. She married Floyd Spangenberg in Missouri. Mrs. Spangenberg was a member of the American Legion Auxialiary. Relatives and friends who attended the funeral from a distance were Mrs. Harold Varvais and family.
