Area man dies in Monday car crash
 
YANKTON, S.D. - A former Hartington resident died Monday when the car 
he was driving crashed into a tanker truck five miles west of Yankton.

Paul Thunker, 23, was headed south in his vehicle when the car 
collided with a tanker truck around 7:15 p.m.

The accident occured at the intersection of highway 50 and the Utica 
Road.
   
The accident did not cause a fire, said a spokesman for the Yankton 
County Sheriffs Department.

Thunker is the son of Ken and Mary Thunker of Hartington.
