Topf HARTINGTON - Bertha G. Topf, 86, died July 17, 1999, at Park View Haven Nursing Home, Coleridge. Visitation was July 19 at the Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington. Mass of Christian Burial was held July 20 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Constance, with Rev. Bob English officiating. Burial was in St. Frances de Chantal Cemetery, Randolph. Pallbearers were Arnie Topf, Curtis Topf, Bill Schacufele, Rod Ronspies, Gene Ronspies and Paul Ronspies. Bertha was born Dec. 27, 1912, to Anton and Anna (Hebben) Ronspies in McLean. She married Edward Herman Topf in Randolph March 1, 1938. She grew up in the McLean and Randolph area, graduating from St. Frances High School in Randolph. After her marriage, she and Edward farmed in the McLean area for six years before moving and farming in the Coleridge area until 1955. She and Edward moved to Yankton, S.D., in 1962, where she worked for Newberry's. They retired in 1977, and moved to Bella Vista, Ark. They moved back to the Hartington area in 1989 and lived north of Pleasant Valley. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Constance, a former member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Coleridge, and the Coleridge Altar Society. Bertha enjoyed her flowers and dancing. Survivors include her husband, Edward, Hartington; a daughter and her spouse, Edwyna "Toodie" and Don Fuelberth, Hartington, two grand- children, Lori Fuelberth, Phoenix, Ariz.; and Troy and Julie Fuelberth, Hartington; four great-grandchildren, Aaron, Dana, Alec and Jared Fuelberth: a sister, Agnes Schlichting, Osmond: four sisters in-law, Rose Ronspies, Pierce; Gladys Poignee, Norfolk; Crystal Ronspies, Osmond; Margaret Ronspies, Armour, S.D. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Rose Ronspies, Martha Bals and Anna Topf, five brothers, R.B. Ronspies, Albert, Joseph, Leo and Edward.
