Rev. C.M. Grindland officiated at the service. Pallbearers were Fred Snowe, Frank Snowe, Eldon Gregg, Albert Pearson, Melvin Pearson, and Eugene Pearson. Burial was in the Bow Valley Cemetery, at Wynot under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home. Mr. Warner had been in ill health for about two years but had been bedfast since last September. He was born April 8, 1874, near Elk Point, SD, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Elias Warner. As a very young child he came with his parents to Nebraska and lived east of Newcastle near Iona until he came to Cedar County where he farmed seven miles east of Wynot for many years. He was married November 6, 1901 to Miss Mae Smith at Ponca, Dixon County, NE. They lived on their farm until 1940 when they moved to Wynot, where they have since resided. Mr. Warner was a member of the Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife, and one sister, Mrs. Katie Johnson of Sioux Falls; also several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends came from a distance attending the funeral included Mr. and Mrs. Percy Brown, Harry Sargent and Mrs. Brown of Vermillion, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Pearson of Coleman, SD., Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Pearson of Hendricks, MN, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Pearson of Elkton, SD., Mrs. Erick Moeller and Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Nord of Pipestone, MN., Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ritter of Wood, SD., Mr. and Mrs. Barney Pearson and Charles Pearson of Newcastle.
