Wellwood, 33, formerly of Wynot was found dead in his car Monday morning at the rear of the apartment house where he resides in Des Moines. The deputy coroner pronounced the death due to carbon monoxide gas poisoning. The coroner said Wellwood had left a note indicating financial troubles. The body was brought to the funeral home in Sioux City and funeral services were held there Wednesday afternoon with burial in Graceland Park Cemetery. Donald Wellwood was born at Emerson, NE., Sept 17, 1916. He came with his parents to Wynot in 1917 and resided here until 1827 when the family moved to Sioux Falls. His former wife resides at Sioux City. Survivors include two daughters and his mother, Mrs. Neva Wellwood of Sioux City; two brothers, James H. of sioux City and Theodore B. of Omaha.
