O.C. WHITNEY OF COLERIDGE, DIED --------- FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE CONDUCTED FRIDAY AFTERNOON AT 2:30 Mrs. O.C. Whitney of Coleridge died Sunday night at 11:00 following an illness of about three months. Plans were being made to take her to Sioux City a few hours before she passed away. Mrs. Whitney was born at Boscobel, Wis., on March 21, 1856. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Bliss. On Febr. 6, 1876 she was married at Atlantic, Iowa, and 36 years ago, she came, with her husband, to Cedar county from Audubon county, Iowa. They settled on the farm now occupied by their son, A.O. Whitney. Seventeen years ago this spring, they moved to Coleridge. Mrs. Whitney was a member of the Coleridge Congregational church, and was well and favorably known through the entire community. She is survived by the husband, five children, Mrs. George Peck of Coleridge; Mrs. Grace Martz of Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Ralph Leaply of Coleridge; Mrs. Adolph Whitney of Chino, Calif.'; and A.O. Whitney of Coleridge, and by 20 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 at the Congregational church, Rev. W.S.
