Wohlman Rites June 3 Death Tuesday Came After Heart Attack ---------- Funeral services for Joseph L. Wohlman, 71, were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Trinity Lutheran church with Rev. O.L. Levorson, pastor, officiating. Services were held at 1:30 o'clock at the Jones-Smith Funeral home preceding the church service. Burial was made in the Hartington cemetery. Pallbearers were Ralph Olson, Carl Lentz, Harry Lentz, Clarence Faulk, Willads Larsen and Herbert Bottolfsen. Joseph L. Wohlman, son of Anton and Mary Wohlman, was born in Cedar county April 8, 1879, and had lived here all of his life with the exception of two years spent in Washington. He and Anna Miller of Obert were married January 17, 1900, and they made their home on a farm for many years. He had served as a member of the school board in district 14, and was a member of the Lutheran church. Mr. Wohlman died Tuesday afternoon at Coleridge following a heart attack, after being ill about eight weeks. Mrs. Wohlman preceded him in death on June 13, 1943, at Tacoma, Wash. Survivors include six children, Louis, Enumclaw, Wash.; Fred, Grand Island; Vern, Loveland, Colo.; Edward, Aubern, Wash.; Mrs. J.E. (Mary) Jensen, Tacoma, Wash., and Mrs. Adolph (Martha) Brodersen, Randolph; four sisters, Mrs. Walter Dresden, Hartington; Mrs. John Lill and Mrs. Stena Hisrchman, St. Louis, Mo.; and Mrs. George Kemp, Canada; two brothers, Steve and Henry of Hartington, 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Those attending the funeral from a distance included Louis and Edward Wohlman and Mrs. J.E. Jensen of Washington; Fred Wohlman of Grand Island, and Norma Jean Brodersen of Omaha.
