Wuebben HARTINGTON- Lavina B. Wuebben, 95, Hartington, died Dec. 1, 1999, at Beverly Healthcare, Hartington. Services were Dec. 4 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Bow Valley, with Rev. Mark Tomasiewicz officiating. Burial was held at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, St. Helena. Pallbearers were Duane Wuebben, Dennis Wuebben, Ron Anderson, Jim Dooley, Gary Dooley and Mike Steffen. Honorary pallbearers were Rose Thoene, Julia Uhing, Frances Sudbeck, Karen Leise, Mary Lee Koch and Loretta Pick. Lavina was born Aug. 28, 1904, to Frank P. and Catherine (Steffen) Becker in Constance. She married Eugene Wuebben Jan. 30, 1923, in St. Helena. He died Oct. 22, 1932, She lived in the St. Helena and Bow Valley areas all her life and was a housekeeper for Fr. Charles Knippen in Bow Valley from 1958- 1989. In 1989 until 1991, she lived in Hartington with her daughter Deloris Dooley. In 1991, she became a resident of the Beverly Healthcare Hartington. She was a member of the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Bow Valley, Christian Mothers and The Rosary Club. Survivors include three daughters, Marcella Hefner, Omaha; Deloris Dooley, Hartington; and Lorraine Pinkelman, Hartington; one son and spouse, Eugene and Rosemary Wuebben, St. Helena; one brother, Alfred Becker, Yankton, S.D.; two sisters, Mrs. Harry (Freda) Johnson, Santa Clara, Calif.; and Adeline Morris, Marietta, Ga.; 20 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one sister, Rosina Klug; two brothers, Herbert Becker and Cyril T. Becker; one granddaughter, Debbie Armstrong.
