Wuebben, 92, Hartington, died Nov. 21, 1998, at the Hartington Nursing Center, Hartington. Visitation was Nov. 23 at the Wintz Funeral Home, Hartington. Funeral services were Nov. 24 at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Hartington, with the Rev. Stan Schmit officiating. Burial was in St. Michael's Cemetery, Hartington. Pallbearers were Robert Wuebben, Francis Wuebben, Allen Wuebben, Vernon Wuebben, Donovan Wuebben and Terry Wuebben. Honorary pallbearers were Hilaria Burbach, Clara Kusel, Theresa Fleming and LeAnn Uhing. Rose was born April 22, 1906, in Fordyce, to Bernard and Magdalena (Stevens) Wuebben. She grew up and attended school in the Fordyce area. She took registered nurse's training courses at Sacred Heart in Yankton, S.D. She worked at a number of hospitals in cities including Omaha; Council Bluffs, Iowa; Mason City, Iowa; Rapid City, S.D.; and Grand Forks, N.D. She worked at Sacred Heart Hospital, Yankton, for 20 years, and at the Yankton Clinic for about 10 years. She lived in Hartington for 10 years and has been a resident of the Hartington Nursing Center since October 1995. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Hartington; the Sacred Heart Alumni and the Rose Hill Club. She is survived by three brothers, Louis Wuebben, Hartington; Roman Wuebben, Hartington; and Edgar and his wife, Theodora, Wuebben, Wynot; a sister-in-law, Margaret K. Wuebben, Fordyce; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Steve and Hugo Wuebben; and five sisters, Thekla Hufnagel, Katherine Hufnagel, Mary Hemmer, Sister Agnes Wuebben and Margaret Wuebben.
