Anderson COLERIDGE- Josephine E. Anderson, 87, died Dec. 6, 1999, at Osmond General Hospital, Osmond. Visitation was Dec. 9, 1999, at the Wintz Funeral Home, Coleridge. Funeral service were Dec. 1O at Pilgrim Congregational U.C.C., Coleridge, with Rev. Robert Neu officiating. Burial was in Coleridge City Cemetery, Coleridge. Pallbearers were Brad Anderson, Doyle Anderson, Randy Anderson, Mike Anderson, Scott Anderson, and Brant Anderson. Honorary pallbearers were her 12 granddaughters. Josephine was born Nov. 16, 1912, to Edwin J. and Jemima J. (Copenhaver) Joslin in Coleridge. She married Vincent C. Anderson Aug. 22, 1933, in Wayne. She lived in the Coleridge area all of her life moving into Coleridge in 1985. She was a member of Pilgrim Congregational United Church of Christ and Women's Fellowship, a member of the Jolly Circle Club, a Junior Homemakers 4-H Club Leader for 35 years, a member of the Cedar County Fair Board for many years. She enjoyed making quilts and collecting elephants. She was an excellent cook and seamstress. Survivors include her husband, Vincent C. Anderson, Coleridge; five children and spouses, Randal and Shirley Anderson, Hartington; Lawrence and Sarah Anderson, North Platte; Joyce Stevens, Arlington, Texas; Glen and Deanna Anderson, Coleridge; and Janice. and David Anderson-Brookes, Coleridge; 18 grandchildren: 26 great-grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Irene Bach; and six brothers, Ted, Floyd, Delbert, Elmer, Wilbur, and Edwin Joslin.
