Anfinson SALINA, Kan. - Veryl V. Anfinson, 80, Salina, Kan., died Aug. 16, 1999, at Salina Regional Health Center, Salina, Kan. Services were Aug. 20 at Salem Lutheran Church, Ponca, with Rev. John Plowman officiating. Inturnment of the ashes will be in the Obert Cemetery, Obert. She was born July 21, 1919, to Floyd Curry and Mary Jane LaStrange in Silver Creek Township. Veryl has been a resident of Salina since 1997 moving to Salina to be close to her daughter. Veryl was owner/operator of Merle's Market and the Obert Garage with her husband, John M. Anfinson, for 35 years. She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Obert; the Ladies Aid Group of the church; the Salem Lutheran Church, Ponca, and the Ponca Ladies Bowling Association. Survivors include one daughter, Rozalyn Anderson, Salina, Kan.; one sister, Delva Rickett, South Sioux City; a sister-in-law, Cleone Curry, Glendale, Ariz; and three grandchildren.
